Strydent Autonomous Technologies Founded To Field Swarms Of Low-Cost, Attritable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

Strydent Autonomous Technologies was founded to field swarms of 1,000’s of low-cost, attritable autonomous underwater vehicles. According to Strydent’ s CEO, “based on the current global threat assessment, there is a clear paradigm shift in warfare to low-cost, attritable assets that can be produced at scale in mass quantities. Strydent was formed to fill this gap in the subsea space and augment = existing exquisite subsea and surface autonomous vessels by providing low-cost, underwater autonomous vehicles that operate in swarms and can be produced at scale. Strydent’s AUVs will operate in swarms of 100’s, 1000’s, and 10,000s using our proprietary Poseidon™ software and can readily integrate into the military’s existing software platforms.

About STRYDENT AUTONOMOUS

Strydent Autonomous is a defense technology company developing low-cost, attritable autonomous underwater vehicle swarms that can be deployed at scale for the U.S. military and allied forces. Founded in February 2025 by experienced business leaders and special operators with expertise in the underwater maritime domain, Strydent designs its autonomous underwater vehicles For the Operator By the Operator. Its SPEAR-1 AUV is a low-cost, compact, man-portable, attritable platform measuring approximately 1 meter and weighing less than 10 kilograms. It is being developed for deployment in swarms of tens of thousands of units to provide real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, with optional kinetic capabilities across the entire undersea maritime kill chain. Strydent’s proprietary Poseidon™ software enables autonomous AUV operations and supports man-on-the-loop control through an ATAK interface.
