Strydent Autonomous partners with Jabil for large-scale manufacture of 1000s of ruggedized operational autonomous underwater vehicles

Strydent Autonomous Technologies following the successful testing of its six prototypes has entered a Statement of Work with Jabil for the productization of Strydent’s SPEAR-1 from Project Acceptance through Engineering Readiness to allow Jabil to begin large-scale manufacturing of 1,000s of SPEAR-1 AUVs. Strydent anticipates the ability to produce an average of 1,000 AUVs per year within 6 months and up to 10,000 units per year by Q4 2027.

About STRYDENT AUTONOMOUS

Strydent Autonomous is a defense technology company developing low-cost, attritable autonomous underwater vehicle swarms that can be deployed at scale for the U.S. military and allied forces. Founded in February 2025 by experienced business leaders and special operators with expertise in the underwater maritime domain, Strydent designs its autonomous underwater vehicles For the Operator By the Operator. Its SPEAR-1 AUV is a low-cost, compact, man-portable, attritable platform measuring approximately 1 meter and weighing less than 10 kilograms. It is being developed for deployment in swarms of tens of thousands of units to provide real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, with optional kinetic capabilities across the entire undersea maritime kill chain. Strydent’s proprietary PoseidonTM software enables autonomous AUV operations and supports man-on-the-loop control through an ATAK interface.
